How to put it into Words....

Right now there is a lump in my throat and I'm doing my best to hold back the tears that I feel arising....but it is all because my heart is overflowing with praise! Brandon and Windy got news yesterday that his cancer is 90% curable!! How amazing is that?!? As I sat in Bible Study last night, listening to our teaching leader give the lecture, I couldn't help but apply our Text (Numbers 1-10) to their situation. At first, I thought, "how can the numbering of the Israelites be applicable to me?" and then the Holy Spirit hit me over the head and helped me see the light! The Israelites had the cloud to guide then, but they had to have their eyes fixed on it so as to not go off the prepared path....and isn't that true for us too? We have to fix our eyes on Jesus, "the author and perfecter of our faith", so as to not go off the prepared path for us! Even though we don't have a huge cloud guiding our every step, we still have God's Word...but you know sometimes God's path isn't very clear...and in those times, I think we should stop and do exactly what Moses did when he said, "Wait until I find out what the LORD commands concerning you." (Numbers 9:8) Wow! I know I am so quick to want an answer right away, but Moses said, "wait and seek the Lord"....which is exactly what Brandon and Windy are doing! They have their eyes fixed on Jesus, and not wanting to take a single step without Him first leading them on their prepared path. Thank you both for your example in faith and trust in our Savior!

Here is a hymn that our Teaching Leader had the class sing last night. Wow...this couldn't apply more. Thank you, Ann, for bringing this to our attention. God's word is so timely. May He receive all the glory and honor that He deserves!

"God Moves in a Mysterious Way"
-William Cowper-

God moves in a mysterious way
His wonders to perform;
He plants His footsteps in the sea
And rides upon the storm.

Deep in unfathomable mines
Of never failing skill
He treasures up His bright designs
And works His sov’reign will.

Ye fearful saints, fresh courage take;
The clouds ye so much dread
Are big with mercy and shall break
In blessings on your head.

Judge not the Lord by feeble sense,
But trust Him for His grace;
Behind a frowning providence
He hides a smiling face.

His purposes will ripen fast,
Unfolding every hour;
The bud may have a bitter taste,
But sweet will be the flow’r.

Blind unbelief is sure to err
And scan His work in vain;
God is His own interpreter,
And He will make it plain.

I have that song written on the inside cover of my Bible. It's my favorite ever.
