Ava is ONE!!

Quick Confession: This post is SO overdue, it's not even funny. But, these days..."better late than never" is a motto I'm learning to live by. :) "Our" sweet Ava turned ONE two weeks after Davis was born....so we  knew we needed to get her One Year/Smash Cake Pictures in before I became utterly sleep deprived! I love this girl as if she was my own, and the fact that I've had the honor of documenting each major milestone in her life has been such a blessing. I'm definitely going to miss this girl next year when she and her mom and dad move away...but thankfully the Lord gave the great idea of picture texts and Skype to a couple of geniuses...so we won't miss out on too much of her growing up! We wanted to get a couple of "regular" pictures before we let her dominate her yummy Chocolate Cake....and I love how all of these with the pearls turned out. If you've been around a 1 year old for more than 15 seconds, you know that you need something to keep them entertained...and these necklaces did just. the. trick. Ava has the biggest personality, so it wasn't hard to get some really fun shots of her "playing dress-up". I'm seeing much more of this in her future!
Not only is she super fun and happy...

She's Elegant....
She's Beautiful....
She's constantly on the move.....
And...She's opinionated!! Haha!
{Del and I sat here and cracked up at these pictures, trying to think of the perfect caption. He actually thought of this one!!}
 Quickly! Replace Pearls with CAKE!!
....Ahhh! Much Better! ha.
She also LOVES her food! And I loved taking pictures of her loving it! :)
{If I could take Wedding Pictures and Smash Cake pictures on a weekly basis...I think I would always have a smile on my face! Even though they are completely opposite....I LOVE those two events!}
I mean REALLY!?! How fun is this?!!!
 Happy 1st Birthday, Sweet Ava Bell!!

Sweet Six Month Sheppy {Little Rock Children's Photographer}

We took Shepherd's 6 Month pictures before Fall decided to change to Winter overnight, and I'm so glad we did! Shepherd is not only part of our "Baby Plan", which means we get to document each major milestone of his first year of life....but he's also the son of some of our good friends, Josh and Aubrey. We love this family and wish we could see them more often. We were in Community Group together before we moved to LR, so it's a treat each time our lives cross paths. Shepherd {aka, Sheppy} was so good for this shoot....but for me the funnest {is that a word?} part was seeing his little personality come through in the pictures.  I hope you enjoy!
Sweet Baby Feet
Love those little hands.
 Rock On, Sheppy.
 Ha. Everytime I look at this picture all I can think of is, "You sneaky, Mommy!"
 {incase you don't know what I'm talking about in that last comment, you HAVE to watch this video!}
Ok, no lie, I started crying when I edited this picture. If this were Del and Davis I would blow this up, put in on a huge canvas, and cherish it forever. Oh I just love it!
Pretty Mommy
Love this family. Such sweet friends.
Happy 6 Month Pictures Shepherd! I've loved watching you grow thus far. Next up...1 Year!!

Happy 1st Birthday, Sweet Avery

Meet Avery. She just turned 1 yesterday, so I thought I would wait until after her party to show these pictures. Zach & Anna {Avery's Parents} came over the other day to take some 1 Year Old Pictures of their sweet sweet sweet little girls....and I don't think they could have turned out any cuter. But when you have a subject as precious as this little girl, it's kind of hard to take a bad picture.

Ok, I have to tell you guys the story behind this little chair....just because it is special to me. My great uncle is a Catholic Priest, and lives in Minnesota. I think he's always been a great craftsmen, but now that he's in his retirement years he's been making a lot of different things and selling them at shows and whatnot. So for my birthday he sent down one of his Child's Chairs that he made {not because I'm pregnant, but rather because he wanted me to have something that he had made}. Well, it couldn't have been more perfect for sweet little Avery! I love little things like this that have some history behind them, but are also so very functional. Thank you Father Leo! You couldn't have sent a better birthday present! :)

After taking pictures outside, we came inside and did a Smash Cake Session. I seriously think I could do one of these sessions every day for the rest of my life! They are so fun for the kids AND the parents.
Zach, Anna, & I just sat there and cracked up at all the faces Avery was making
and just watching the progression from clean baby to totally covered in icing!!

However....why do all my kid shoots end up this way??! ha ha!
I guess even a 1 year old knows when she's had too much sugar.

Happy Birthday Avery!
I'm so glad we were able to document this stage in your life, and we look forward to watching you grow over the years.

Everyone needs a good umbrella

A good umbrella just makes a rainy day so much better! Don't you think!?

We have another rainy day here in the Capitol City...but it's obviously not stopping these two from being super adorable! I'm so glad I have the privilege of spending my days with these two kiddos. They keep me on my toes and laughing all the time!

The most recent thing that puts a smile on my face is, when we get in the car to go to one of their "afternoon events" I'll say, "Ready Freddy?" and Little Man replies, "I'm not Ready Freddy!" as if he thinks that's his name! If I can somehow get a recording of it and put in on here I will!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. I'm leaving town today...but I'll be back tomorrow night! Wow, short trip! But hopefully I can hug the necks of a lot of dearly loved friends and family while I'm gone for 24 hours. ha! I'll let you know how that goes.

Happy Friday!

3 & 5 Are Finally Here!!

"Sweet Girl" and "Little Mister" just celebrated their birthdays! It was a much anticipated event, to say the least. Sweet Girl and I have been talking about her turning 5 now, for a good six months! She has been very excited about all the things that will come with it like; kindergarten, birthday parties, the possibility of loosing a tooth, growing bigger...you know, the usual! :)
They had their birthday party at Wonder Place...which, in my opinion, is TRULY Wonderful!!
They also had Tommy the Terrific perform. He was really fun!
It was a really special afternoon. I am so grateful for this job and this family. They have made the transition to LR so much easier.
I have a feeling that Little Mister and I are going to have a fun year together, while his big sister is at Kindergarten!
Sweet Girl is officially 5!
We are now starting to talk about what 6 will be like!
