If you guys will remember, it was this time last year that we were frantically shaving Del's head and getting ready to send him off to Officer Basic Training.
As I sat here this morning, with Del's first year of Med School under his belt, I am just reminded of God's Faithfulness. There hasn't been anything that has been super momentous this year, but as I shared with some fellow Bible Study ladies yesterday morning, God has just been good to bring us to this place.
Before Del started Med School we heard everything from, "Your marriage is about to end" to "Oh yeah, it's no big deal"....so we didn't really know what to expect. Thankfully, we can both look back on this year with a big smile and say, "it was good".
So, what does this summer have in store? Well, just a lot of quality time together. As the people I nanny for continually remind me, this is kind of our "last"summer together. So Del is just laying low, doing some research with a Doctor at AR Children's Hospital, and also doing an ER internship. We have a few little trips planned to see some family and then a few weddings to attend to!
