The Day has Come!

Well, the day is finally here. Today, Del takes his Step 1 Board Exam {aka, the biggest test of his life}
Del has seriously been studying non-stop for this one. He would get up and go to the library before I got up in the morning and would come home after I went to bed.
His diligence has amazed me.
This morning, we woke up, prayed together and then headed to Chick-fil-A...mainly because we were out of coffee and Del needed it before the test. :)
He looked over a few equations and then said "OK, that's it!" and he was out the door.

The Lord has really been gracious to us over these past 6 weeks of studying. Neither him or I have become bitter or upset over the amount of time he's been away from home. It's just been something he's had to do. Del said the other day that if he even gets a decent score on this test, he's going to feel like he "beat the system"....because he did well on the test AND his marriage will still be in tact. ha! I guess what you'd need to know is that before he started Med School, all we ever heard was how our marriage was about to end. But that has not been the case for us...but we know that it's not because of anything we've done, but everything that the Lord has done through us.
So, today we are celebrating! Celebrating that this test is the completion of 2 years of Med School and also Celebrating the Lord's faithfulness to our marriage.
It's a good day!

SO happy for you guys! What an awesome milestone and achievement! I love hearing where you two are and all that the Lord is doing in/ through your lives. On a much lighter side note- what is it about med school that teaches you how to point with your middle finger, especially when studying/ reviewing charts?!:) I would say about 95% of the docs I have worked with do this:)!
