Scripture Memory: Matthew 11:28-30

Still going strong! Well, to be honest...our fire for Scripture Memory has died down a little, but we are still committed! Here is our verse for March 1-15th.
Such a sweet promise from our Savior!

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

The reason I chose this verse was because, once again, our Teaching Leader in Bible Study made a comment this week that ROCKED MY WORLD. She said, "A lot of times you hear people say, 'God won't give you anything you can't bear'...well, that's not true at all. A lot of times he gives you more than we can bear, so that in being yoked together with Him, He shares the load with us!"
And actually during a time of discussion with other members of our Bible Study Group, it was mentioned that "back in the day" the yokes were made to where the majority of the load was favored to the side of the older/more experienced ox. So, applying that to this verse, God is really the one that bears the majority of the burden, and we walk with Him to learn from Him! How amazing is our God?! I just love it when Scripture comes alive and speaks directly to your heart!
