Chili and a Fashion Show

I can't think of a better combination, can you?
Saturday evening, Jill (who's husband is in Del's class) and I headed up to Kavanaugh to experience Hillcrest's 2nd Annual Harvestfest/Chili Cook-off. It was so fun. You could pay $2 for a bowl, and walk around and try everyone's chili. Some were really yummy, and some were....interesting! As you can tell, Jill and I really planned ahead in the clothing department! :) Ha! Not only did we BOTH wear v-neck shirts...but they were WHITE! To a chili cook-off? Luckily, not a drop was spilt!
This was the booth we voted for. They had really good Green Chili {very Southwestern-y} and their booth was actually decorated in chili's {which we thought was appropriate}!
Later on in the evening, there was a fashion show put on by The Box Turtle. It was so fun to see local designers show off their stuff. But, the highlight of the show was seeing Korto Momol (1st Runner-up Project Runway, Season 5) and her line of clothes! I'm constantly blown away at the creativity and construction that it takes to create a line of clothes. Good luck to all the designers that presented your clothes! They were amazing.
