Knowing God by Name

"Give thanks to the LORD, call on his name; make known among the nations what he has done."
-1 Chronicles 16:8-

I once head a great speaker say,
"I don't need to serve a thousand different gods, I have the One True God who has a thousand different names."

This year in BSF we are going to be studying the One True God, through the book of Isaiah, who goes by a thousand different names that all perfectly make up His character and nature. How great is our God that He able to reveal different aspects of Himself to thousands of different people at just the right time?!

If you are looking for a Bible Study this year, I would HIGHLY recommend trying out BSF. If you live in the LR area, our Evening Women's Class starts TONIGHT!! We meed at Immanuel Baptist Church and class is from 6:40-8:30pm. All you have to do is bring your Bible and show up!!
If you are looking for a Bible Study during the day, check out all the different classes in your area. There are men's classes as well! How great would it be if your whole family was studying the Book of Isaiah together this year?!

I just love the fact that I have friends from NWA to NYC that are all going to be studying the Book of Isaiah this year. What a way to stay connected, huh?! I'm thinking our phone conversations will be so much richer and deeper....that is if we can get a word in because I know we are going to be talking a mile a minute trying to share all the things the Lord is teaching us!! :)

I'll leave you with this one final quote that a friend sent me the other day. I hope you find a class near you, and sign up so that you don't miss another day of worshiping God through the study of His Word.

"Worship is the expression of the Christian believer's relationship with God. However that relationship is very complex, since God is at one and the same time our Creator, Redeemer (through Jesus Christ), Sustainer, Indweller (by the Holy Spirit), Friend, and Judge. It helps to remember that we approach God individually as a created one, a redeemed one, a sustained one, an indwelt one, a befriended one, and a judged one."

"Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you."
Psalms 9:10
