Susan's LiL Punkin' Baby Shower

In honor of Susan's Birthday today, I thought it would only be appropriate to talk about her Baby Shower that we threw for her last weekend.

A few months ago, Susan and I were talking on the phone and she said "You know what would be a cute shower theme?..."'LiL Punkin'....since I am her 'Mum'" {and then she proceeded to bust out laughing}. Well, I took mental note of this and then ran with it. However, we didn't want her to know what the theme was, so we did our best to try and throw her of....but I'm about 110% sure she knew what it was.

But the theme couldn't have been more perfect for this time of year. We just wanted to do a casual shower that all Susan's friends could come, relax, and enjoy. I think it was a success!

I told the other hostesses that I'm not super original in my decorating ideas....but I can sure copy well! So I spent some time online looking at different blogs and websites and finally landed on this idea.
After it was all set up, I turned to Del and said, "I think Katie Henry would be proud!" :)
PhotobucketWe didn't want to go too crazy with the pumpkin theme...so we had some Spinach Dip and Bacon Cheddar Dip mixed in with all the other little goodies. But everything was de-lish!

And since Fall is officially in the air, we decided to have a Soup Bar instead of making a bunch of different finger foods. The shower was on Sunday evening, so this arrangement of food was just perfect. And of course we had enough bowls so that everyone could try all the different flavors!

Once everyone was done eating {or maybe while some people still were :)} Susan started opening gifts. All I can say is, Little Miss Ava is going to be decked out! It was great mixture of practical and fun gifts...which is perfect when having a little girl!

I'm not sure if Susan will continue to wear these Zebra Heels while pushing Ava in here stroller, but for now she's a super cute mom to be. :)

Happy Birthday Sus! We are all so excited for you and Chris, and can.not.wait. for little Ava to be here in January! I'm so thankful for the friend that God has given me in you. It truly is a blessing and answer to prayer.

Oh, and just to let you know, I already have my bag packed so that I can move in with you guys in February to help take care of Baby Girl...and mom! :)

I absolutely love this theme and all that you did! Can you tell me where you got the letters to go inside the pumpkins? I adore this idea and am going to use it! Thanks :(
